Project Summary

Sony Music initiated a global Finance & Accounting transformation and invited IBM to propose expanded outsourced services across Latin America and Asia Pacific, with additional solutioning around Royalties and Content Protection. IBM delivered a high-impact orals presentation and immersive executive workshop to communicate its global transformation strategy and operational depth.

My Role
Experience Design Lead — primary creative authority responsible for end-to-end experience design, storytelling, and executive presentation execution.

Client / Team Context
IBM-led, multi-market pursuit engaging Sony Music C-suite and global finance leadership; delivered by a cross-functional IBM pitch team of approximately 12 contributors under a compressed timeline.

  • Challenge 1: Disrupted planning and a compressed timeline caused by a national holiday and late-breaking logistics.
    Solution: Established rapid executive alignment through an embedded project manager, estimated attendance using historical data, and completed design, production, and in-room setup during the holiday weekend.

    Challenge 2: Misalignment among multiple IBM decision-makers risked diluting the narrative.
    Solution: Implemented frequent, rapid-feedback loops with leadership and built a flexible creative framework that allowed last-minute adjustments without compromising quality.

    Challenge 3: Sony executives needed a way to revisit and share workshop content beyond the in-person session.
    Solution: Designed a custom iPad-based Keynote app with a non-linear “Launchpad” interface, enabling executives to explore content by capability area, access videos and PDFs, and continue collaboration across regions.
