Project Summary

To support UPS’s North America Client & Market Development strategy, IBM conceptualized and delivered a fully branded executive site visit for UPS and EY leaders, codenamed Project Camaro, hosted at IBM’s delivery center in Bangalore, India. The experience transformed two floors into a walkable story that built delivery confidence and secured new capability buy-in.

My Role
Experience Design Lead (Senior) — primary creative lead with creative authority across experience strategy, environmental design, storytelling, and on-site execution.

Client / Team Context
IBM-led executive experience for UPS and EY stakeholders; planned in one week with a 48-hour on-site build-out window ahead of a one-day, 8-hour hosted visit.

  • Challenge 1: Compressed scope approval due to a public holiday and restricted facility clearance timelines.
Solution: Fast-tracked approvals and hand-delivered scope lists prior to deadline, maintaining real-time coordination across design, logistics, and on-site teams to keep the build on track.

Challenge 2: Limited on-site time meant the experience needed to communicate the narrative even without a guided tour.
Solution: Designed a self-guided visual journey using storyboards, kiosks, signage, and zone-based storytelling so the message carried independently at every stop.

Challenge 3: Back-to-back site visit constraints required materials to be reusable and reconfigurable.
Solution: Created a modular system of assets that could be swapped, repurposed, and reset efficiently—reducing cost and enabling rapid turnaround for the next engagement.

  • Environmental Experience & On-Site Execution

    • Full-site environmental branding across two floors (2F and 3F)

    • Large-format vinyl wall panels (4’ x 8’) and custom graphics

    • Directional signage, posters, kiosks, and branded workstations

    • Case study storyboards and standees for storytelling zones

    • Interactive expo areas with six demo/tour stops

    • Lobby and boardroom redesign with before/after transformation zones

    • Local cultural integration: custom Rangoli with UPS logo, welcome kits, sweets, and ceremony props

    Print, Swag & Presentation Materials

    • 100 custom UPS t-shirts

    • 110 personalized kits (notebooks, lanyards, pens, name tags)

    • 13 branded posters and event signage elements

    • 50+ custom-designed keynote slides and event-specific storytelling

    • Six storyboarded case studies aligned to the business narrative

    • Experience journey and messaging framework (including “Brown + Blue” brand fusion concept)

    • Executed a one-day, 8-hour high-touch experience for seven UPS and EY guests supported by 44 IBM hosts

    • Transformed two full floors into an immersive delivery and partnership showcase

    • Delivered 100+ pieces of custom content across print, digital, and environmental surfaces

    • Received highly positive executive feedback, described as one of the most well-branded and memorable global visits

    • Contributed directly to new capability buy-in, strengthened delivery confidence, and IBM being awarded the deal

Project Camaro translated enterprise strategy into a walkable, culturally grounded storytelling system—combining brand fusion (“Brown + Blue”), case-based proof, and immersive experience design to drive executive conviction.
